The Village Supper Club…

Has been in existence since 1927 and like a lot of people our family passed it a gazillion times without ever thinking about going inside. It wasn’t very attractive and it had a bad reputation and there were never any cars there, and no one ever said anything nice about it, so we had plenty of reasons not to go.

Then one day, for some reason unknown to us we all decided to try it. The inside of the place was a hidden treasure, a small, quaint, Up-North Woods type of place. The food was surprisingly good, the patrons were surprisingly normal, and the owners were friendly. Before we had finished that first meal we were talking about what a neat place this could be with a little “tweaking” and a few years later we bought it.

Seven years later you actually need reservations on the weekend because others have discovered the treasure on the inside we discovered many years ago. We think the right way to describe the experience is “casual elegance”! It’s still the neighborhood bar where you can get a burger and a beer but you can have a Lobster with Herbed Rice!

You can still come in for a bottle of your favorite beer or choose from fifty other choices we carry. You’ll find all the regular choices you are used to and the finest scotches, bourbons, and cognacs, as well as fifty vodkas for all the martini choices you can think of. Saturday evenings we stop making sandwiches and devote our time to making Prime Rib, Crab, Lobsters and a weekly special.
